Dear Devipriya ji, Guazuma ulmifolia is a native of tropical America and is planted here as an ornamental. It is called as rudraksha only because of its similar appearance of its dried FRUITS. Otherwise it has no connection with our Rudraksha (Elaeocarpus sphaericus) whose SEEDS are medicinal, considered sacred and used as garlands.
