I think Shrikant ji need no introduction.
His passion for wild flowers is unparalleled.
He has changed the way future books are written on 'Flowers' & on Indian
Flora.
I think he was among the firsts, who realised how to use photography can be
used for the benefit of masses.
He has done to *'Flower watching'* what Pradip Krishen has done to Trees
('Trees of Delhi' (rather trees of India)).
He has set many like us- on a course of knowing & documenting our wild
flowers.
I myself realised the beauty of of our wild flowers & started photographing
them, after getting a copy of his book 'Flowers of Sahyadris' (in two
volumes) from him.

He has been our member since Feb.'08 & always helping us with Ids.
We expect to see more documentation on wild flowers of India from him.
