A reply: "Notholaena himalaica (syn. Notholaena vestita). Note that N. Americans adopted an idiosyncratic local typification of Notholaena against all the rest of the world's usage, in order to apply it to American species. But I believe none of J. Smith's "typifications" actually mean what we mean by type, and that Christensen and everyone else's taking it to be N. marantae is the proper typification to follow.
