So *Parnassia* is now in Celastraceae! Initially I thought that it is an error but then Plant List revealed it so. Takhtajan (2009) placed Parnassiaceae closer to Celastraceae in Celastrales. Earlier placed in Saxifragaceae now it is in Celastraceae also in APweb making a separate group in the family.. Molecular Taxonomy many a times presents the results which are difficult to accept. However, this small plant with bright white flowers always reminds me high altitude meadows of Himalaya. DSRawat Pantnagar
