Your views seems to be in agreement with GRIN (updated in 2006).
But I shall like to go with the Tropicos which has been updated with
refrences in 2013 untill & unless there is something more to it.
Even Flora of India uploaded by you goes with Dodonaea viscosa in this
regard.
