The picture of Cardiospermum canescens in Flowers of India website is wrong one. I and Prabhu have send the pictures of this particular species. There is some populations of Cardiospermum halicacabum in Tamilnadu (e.g. Annamalai) where they have small fruit in size in respect to C. halicacabum, however all other characters are same.
