Dear all, Local names are very useful in the rural areas to find out specific plant.
I have to point out that there may be different local names for the same plant from different parts of Maharashtra. Some plants may have 5 different local names from 5 regions of Maharashtra- Konkan, Vidarbh, Marathwada, Khandesh & Western Maharashtra. The same situation may have in other states also. Different names in different parts... So I request you all to provide the local names from your area along with the scientific name. It will help a lot.
