Coincidentally, I saw these very same flowers yesterday on a trail below Kanheri Caves yesterday.
Thanks for the identification. Is it a monsoon plant? Mumbai has seen rain and quite a bit of it in the wake of cyclone Phyan. I have done that trail often enough but don't recall seeing these flowers earlier. Incidentally, Phyan is Burmese for cherry which has fallen off a tree.
