Thanks a lot, Rawat ji, for the clarification.
Flora of
China<http://www.efloras.org/florataxon.aspx?flora_id=2&taxon_id=200013659>
(with
*Triumfetta tomentosa* Bojer & *Triumfetta* *tomentosa* var. *calvescens*
Franch. as syn.), shows distribution of *Triumfetta cana* Blume in India as
does Annotated Checklist of the Flowering Plants of
Nepal<http://www.efloras.org/florataxon.aspx?flora_id=110&taxon_id=200013659>
&
Tropicos | Name - Triumfetta cana
Blume<http://www.google.co.in/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&frm=1&source=web&cd=11&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0CFYQFjAK&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.tropicos.org%2FName%2F32200897&ei=wZA6U5C8IIHWrQfIrIHADQ&usg=AFQjCNGPaszAEDdsLiPeQo9lDHH_Tzum0Q&sig2=3S-aEQMiBK5tu1rkbAUyiQ>
(Syn.
*Triumfetta tomentosa* Bojer <http://www.tropicos.org/Name/32200439> &
*Triumfetta
tomentosa* var. *calvescens* Franch. <http://www.tropicos.org/Name/50314491>).
Pdf of Flora of china is available at this
link<http://flora.huh.harvard.edu/china/pdf/PDF12/Triumfetta.pdf>,
published in 2007.
The Plant List ver 1.1 shows *Triumfetta* *tomentosa* var. *calvescens*
Franch.is a synonym <http://www.theplantlist.org/1.1/about/#synonym> of
*Triumfetta* *cana*
Blume<http://www.theplantlist.org/tpl1.1/record/tro-32200897>

In view, I think *Triumfetta cana* Blume is the current accepted name
of *Triumfetta
tomentosa* Bojer.

Mystery about *T. obliqua *still remains & you may be correct in this
regard.
I request other expert also to through some light in this matter.
