Neighbourhood Trees Campaign
*Photograph, map, and share a story about trees*
Starting tomorrow, Earth Day, join thousands of individuals and groups from
across India, in the Neighborhood Trees Campaign, to map, photograph and
share stories of trees!

- Join an existing local event or sign up to organize one

trees in your neighborhood.
- Head to

create an account in a few simple steps.
- Upload identified or unidentified
observations<http://indiabiodiversityportal.cmail1.com/t/t-l-yhkkvy-hrzjdlr-yd/>or
lists<http://indiabiodiversityportal.cmail1.com/t/t-l-yhkkvy-hrzjdlr-yh/>with
date, location and notes or a story.
- Use tags as key words and group identifiers (eg. native, APU campus)
- Submit and share with friends!!
- Experts will help you identify unidentified species and confirm
identified ones.

comment, agree on species IDs or help

*Why:* The aim is to record the distribution of species across India
and in your neighbourhood. All observations, lists and maps are freely
available for download under the Creative Commons licenses. Most
importantly, it is a fun activity to do during this time of the year when
many trees are in bloom! Use any of this information to get know your trees
and their stories, you may use it for research or to help protect them.
*Prizes:* Prizes will be awarded to top three contributors, rarest
observations, best photo essay and best tree story. Prizes include
autographed field guides on trees and tree identification software CDs.See
