Thank you for accepting me to this group. It is often said that there is a great importance of the Fig Tree for understanding the health of any forest. Also as a social tree this has great importance. Prince Siddhartha had achieved his Nirvana under the Fig Tree and had become Gautama Buddha. Can we please put together a strong document on the Fig Tree and her importance in Mother Earth, and help to promote the same for Buddha Jayanti, 14th May, 2014. Even if the group is not interested as a whole, but expert members who may volunteer to help with the same, I shall certainly be able to promote the same among the Buddhist Communities of Northeast, mainly the children and village folks.
