Oxyspora cernua and O. vagans are supposed to differ in their lower leaf
surface, but that is invisible in these two photos.

Leaf blade abaxially glabrous = Oxyspora cernua (Roxburgh) J. D. Hooker &
Thomson ex Triana, Trans. Linn. Soc. London 28: 73. 1871.
600-1200 m. SE Xizang in China, Bhutan, India.
--------------
Leaf blade abaxially furfuraceous stellate or furfuraceous squamose at least on
veins = Oxyspora vagans (Roxburgh) Wallich, Pl. Asiat. Rar. 1: 78.
1830.700- 1000 m. Guangxi, Xizang (Mêdog), Yunnan in China, India, Myanmar,
Thailand.

Some earlier relevant feedback:
Oxyspora paniculata, Melastomataceae- from Smita ji.

They flowing information regarding 2 species (as per "Encyclopedia of Flora
and Fauna of Bangladesh, Volume 9")

1. Oxyspora cernua: In Bangladesh, this species was reported from Chittagong
District (Heinig,1925)

2. Oxyspora vagans: In bangladesh, it occurs in the forest of Chittagong and
Sylhet districts (Heinig,1925;Alam,1988).

Sourav Ji informs that two Oxyspora are found in Bangladesh (as per
"Encyclopedia of Flora and Fauna of Bangladesh, Volume 9") -
        * Oxyspora cernua
        * Oxyspora vagans
Flora of British India, vol2, p526 also informs this and both looks similar to
paniculata.

Since leaf margin seems to be entire (against denticulate in remaining two
species) in this plant it maybe Oxyspora cernua (Roxb.) Hook. f. & Thomson ex
Triana. - from Surajit ji.
