Yes, the fruits in your photographs are unripe. The fruit will remain seated on the enlarged persistent calyx.
The mature fruit is about the size of an average plum. It is coated with a deciduous powdery substance which is very pale initially (as seen in your pictures) and eventually turning rufous. When this rusty mealiness comes off, the ripe fruit appears yellow.
