Very nice pix, Ranjini. There are believed to be about 500 Crotalaria sps. So it may be difficult to pin down the exact sps. But observing the distinguishing characteristics of a particular sps and history of it presence in Srirangapatna may be of help. Could be C. retusa or C. quinquefolia as seen from pix in Wikipedia. Link : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crotalaria. I much appreciate your other pix in the rest of these series of Wild Flowers too.
By the way Srirangapatna is associated with Tipu Sultan ? ________________________________ From: ranjini kamath <[email protected]> To: indiatreepix <[email protected]> Sent: Sat, 21 November, 2009 11:45:03 AM Subject: [indiantreepix:23588] Wild Flower for Bot.
