Resurfacing again for ID earlier suggested by Nayan ji as Ageratum conyzoides
I had careful look at this plant today. This appears to be the cultivated apecies Ageratum houstonianum. Pubescent involucre bracts and longer style arms are characteristic. -- Dr. Gurcharan Singh Associate Professor SGTB Khalsa College, University of Delhi, Delhi-110007 Res: 932 Anand Kunj, Vikas Puri, New Delhi-110018. Ageratum leaves have odd smell. That's why it is known as Mahkua (i.e. with mahak) locally. regards Pankaj Oudhia 2009/11/16 Nayan Singh <[email protected]> > Dear Friends > > This herb is form Periyar Tiger Reserve > > Photo taken on 10-5-09 > > I think this is Ageratum conizoides (Blue coloured flower), but not very > sure > > Experts pl confirm or id otherwise > > Thanks > > Nayan > > .............................. > > > N.S.Dungriyal IFS > Chief Conservator of Forests > and Field Director > Satpura Tiger Reserve Hoshangabad > M.P. > 09424792100 > > ------------------------------ > The INTERNET now has a personality.
