Sir,

Relatively short petiole, heavily peltate leaves suggest *Colocasia*, as
you have already marked the photographs. Since two sides of the leaf-blade
is not always symmetrical (Haines) it may be *C. esculenta* (L.) Schott.
But, if it is smaller ornamental with lamina around 6 x 6 inch can it be *C.
affinis* Schott.?
