Dear members,
Dr. Sabu is one of the top taxonomists of India & an expert on Zingiberaceae,
Musaceae, Marantaceae etc. He is the Professor of Taxonomy and Floristics
Division, Department of Botany
Calicut University, Kerala. He is the Secretary of Indian Association for
Angiosperm Taxonomy <http://www.iaat.org.in/index.html>, established in
1990, which also brings out Rheedea <http://www.iaat.org.in/rheedea.html> (of
which he is the Executive editor), which publishes peer reviewed original
research and review articles in angiosperm taxonomy.

Despite being very busy, he has never shied away from helping us on these
families as can be seen from his inputs during the Zingiberaceae Month.

With whatever little interactions I have with him, I can only say he seems
to be a very humble person who wants to see that Indian Taxonomy stays at
top & he will leave no stone un-turned in the matter.

May be other members, who are more familiar with him, can highlight other
qualities & aspects of his magnetic personality.
