I am sorry Dinesh ji, I think we are talking about different plants. The one I see here grows on the ground and doesn't flower. The leaves can become very large growing sometime to about 2-3 feet tall. The root as well as the leaves are edible. Hindi *Kachalu*, Local vernacular: *Patroda*.
I think it is *Colocasia esculenta *that we have here.
