It is Zizyphus, but I know its localname only--Zarberi. It grows wild in 
Aravali Range, Delhi Ridge, and in the ravines of Yamuna and Chambal rivers.

Have seen such zig-zag branched spiny bushy shrubs many a places along side of 
trails, roads, scrub-forest, etc.
