There is a name called *Canavalia lineata* sensu auct. (syn. of* Canavalia rosea *(Sw.) DC.) with distribution in India as per ILDIS <http://www.ildis.org/LegumeWeb?version~10.01&LegumeWeb&tno~2290&genus~Canavalia&species~lineata>. It may have caused the confusion.
