Garg" <[email protected]> Yes, it is Ischaemum, most probably Ischaemum semisagittatum, a common grass found in northern part of western ghats and Konkan coast. You can find this grass on all the railway station platforms of Konkan railway. The variably hairy spikelets and the semi-sagittate leaf base leads to the identity of this species. The picture on the left reveals the leaf base on some of the leaves in which the base is clear in the picture. The leaf bases are pointed on both sides of the petiole like an arrow.
