Sir, Do we count *Justicia procumbens* L. and *Rostellularia adscendens* (R.Br.) R.M.Barker two different taxa?
Several botanical websites think they are synonymous. One Australian Govt. website thinks 5 subspecies of *Rostellularia adscendens* (R.Br.) R.M.Barker have been distinguished. What would be Indian species? Specially at NE India? Another Australian site thinks *Rostellularia adscendens* (R.Br.) R.M.Barker is synonymous with - "*Justicia notha* C.B.Clarke, Flora of British India 4: 537(1885), Type: INDIA?; Herb. Wight.". Should we accept this one? There is another species *Justicia assamica* Clarke, FBI. iv. 537; which is allied to *J. notha* and *J. khasiana* (Flora of British India, vol4). As per FBI *J. notha* Clarke has flowers with 1/3 rd inch corolla. Or should we accept the following - *Justicia procumbens* L. var. *latispica* Clarke, Flora of British India 4: 539(1885)? The later being distributed in Assam region and synonymous with *Justicia mollissima* (Nees) Y.F. Deng & T.F. Daniel as per TPL.
