a ground cover  for xeriscaping, esp along the highways in sw usa

you'll run into a lot of species names
run the key

many things are called the purple iceplant
but many have thin blads or pointed ends to their leaves ... yours seems to
be like the perfectly rounded succulent leaf tip..

most likely would be  *Drosanthemum Floribundum Rosea*
