It looks as if this plant is on the way to becoming a very widespread weed 
due to its adaptability.
 Ten years ago it was much less common but I seem to see it all over the 
place these days in the Mumbai area. 
There is no mention of it in Cooke's flora. It is native to tropical 
regions of America.
