Sir, about prickle on leaves of *Solanum torvum* Sw. - Sir Prain recorded "leaves not prickly on the nerves" Haines recorded, "leaves without prickles or with one only beneath near the base of midrib" FoC says armed or unarmed some other sources echo above
about prickle on stem- should be recurved as major sources I find record but can be straight also - http://www.fleppc.org/ID_book/solanum%20torvum.pdf So, the only hurdle remains is the glabrous shinning leaf. Here I fail to find any strong support. One weak support I find is stellate hair is sparse on upper surface of leaf - http://www.starrenvironmental.com/publications/species_reports/pdf/solanum_torvum.pdf. But this doesn't explain your point. Thank you Regards On Tue, Feb 17, 2015 at 12:09 PM, J.M.
