Some earlier relevant feedback: i can only think of a weird plant i had seen many years ago called rosinweed googling for rosinweed gets me many pictures but most are yellow petalled flowers and uniform petal sizes this in not at its prime so color of petal is in question but the raggedy look implies may be the petals were not of equal size .. may be then it may be silphium perfoliatum which is again yellow petalled but may be Gurcharanji or Dr Rawat should look at his case may be there are similar plants in india that UI have no idea about
