Well, sir, from my side, it was more of a process of elimination of species
rather than narrowing down to this particular one. Please see these: 1

I knew it could not be* Ixora polyantha *or the other associated species-*
Ixora leucantha *because they are much larger flowers as I have observed.

And of the remaining species, I ruled out* Ixora arborea* because I have
seen it before. Lastly, calyx glabrous narrowed it down to *Ixora nigricans*.
I matched it with Dinesh sir's earlier photos from Belgaum and later it was
confirmed by him and Vinaya Raj sir.
