Recognizable by the  usually white-hispidulous or -pilose leaf-margins and
the subsessile tuberculate capsules.  A  species with a few microscopic
differences viz. Phyllanthus nozeranii is described   and recorded for
India but considering the wide range of distribution of P. urinaria and
difficulty in distinguishing P. nozeranii, it seems appropriate to treat
the same as conspecific with P. urinaria.
