T. rosea is a large-growing forest tree with dull, rather heavily-veined
leaves.

 T. heterophylla is a small to medium-sized tree with smooth-margined, glossy
foliage. It is far more commonly used as an ornamental tree, at least in FL and
Hawaii, USA, where both species grow. It shows considerable variation in flower
color.

Close-ups of foliage would be helpful to determine ID here.

Ken Greby.

In T. rosea species itself, is there a drastic colour variation. In some places
of Chennai, the flowers are almost white whereas in some places they are a nice
pink
