Dear Dr. Subhasis, I had replied to you in this regard in a personal communication and I find that now you have forwarded the same to eflora of India without thinking the implications. This is certainly very embarassing for me as it might have offended so many persons. You should have maintained ethics and should not have made public my personal communication/message meant for you only. I had already informed you that the observations made by David Prain were correct and the present author (as per the attachment) was not aware of the variation exhibited by Ricinus communis which prompted him to write the present article.
