BSI doesn't list *Cyperus cyperoides* (l.) Kuntze. Instead, it is regarded as synonym of *Mariscus sumatrensis* (Retz.) Raynal <http://efloraindia.nic.in/efloraindia/speciesDesc_PCL.action?species_id=3348>. Another synonym of the taxon is *Mariscus siberianus* Nees ex C. B. Clarke.
