*Desmodium microphyllum* (Thunb.) DC., Prodr. 2:337. 1825.
Syn: Hedysarum microphyllum Thunb.

 Trailing to erect perennial herb ; leaves trifoliate with elliptic-obovate
 to oblong leaflets up to 10 mm long, petiole 3-4 mm long; Flowers pink
often tinged with blue in up to 10-flowered raceme; bract boat-shaped;
pedicel up to 12 mm long; calyx lobes linear; keel longer than wings; pod
10-12 mm long, 2-3 mm broad, 3-4 jointed.
