Anuragji, I checked the images of both M.umbellatum and M.malabaricum in the Digital Flora of Karnataka with reference to the keys.The leaves in M.umbellatum are little bit petiolate rather than sessile-sub sessile as in M.malabaricum.Considering the sessile leaves and sub-sessile cluster of flowers in the uploaded specimen,it might be M.malabaricum as you have pointed out.
