Well Rawat ji,
We all want that the Flora of India Project is completed.  It will be a
great moment for us to see that the new generation of  scientists of the
dept. take up the responsibility and complete this project as early as
possible.  I am proud that I learned taxonomy from a very able scientist of
this dept., Dr. N. P. Balakrishnan.
I am aware of your concern for a national flora which was reflected through
your article published sometimes back in Current Science and we all
discussed about it.  Even Flora Malesiana Project has been speeded up as
they have felt that with the present pace of in depth studies, it may take
generations to complete!
