Dear TSP kumarji, As per the morphological features of C. karnatakensis your specimen is distinct from this by means of sheathing leaf base (against base unequal and slightly cordate), long petiole (against short, upto 6 cm), petiole and sheath green coloured (against purple tinged or rarely green), presence of prominent coma bracts (against coma bracts absent) and many minor characters. The flower and bracts colour in *Curcuma* is variable (for reference please go through the attachment). You please also check the colour of rhizome, in C. karnataknsis it is flesh cream coloured with a slight mango ginger flavour (it is absent in C. pseudomontana. In C. pseudomontana petiole lengthnis varies from 60-70 cm). You can easily distinguish C. karnatakensis from C. pseudomontana by means of the presence of sessile tubers (against absence of sessile tubers) and flesh cream coloured rhizome (against yellow coloured at centre).
