Interesting Darshan Ji, how do you identify it from other *Achyranthes <http://efloraindia.nic.in/efloraindia/speciesList_PCL.action?resultType=genusWise&parent_Id=73&parent_Name=achyranthes>* ? I was going through the paper http://threatenedtaxa.org/ZooPrintJournal/2011/June/o268526vi111875-1879.pdf and found superficial features described in that paper tallies (at least several features) with my species in following threads! - https://groups.google.com/d/msg/indiantreepix/_Khg8UM9Z1U/tKlBRrdNS-UJ (with 3 set of images) - https://groups.google.com/d/msg/indiantreepix/9vmOf221YRQ/-tdB_5IljFgJ Yet none of my above two threads is *A. coynei*. The set featured in this thread neither shows l-o-n-g spike nor densely arranged flowers, nor even similar leaves found in the paper above.
