Leaves here are sessile and amplexicaule. Not a feature of *Macrosolen parasiticus <http://florakarnataka.ces.iisc.ernet.in/hjcb2/herbsheet.php?id=2694&cat=1>*. There is a *Revision of Loranthaceae <http://shodhganga.inflibnet.ac.in/handle/10603/76629>* (please see Observations.pdf, page 30) published recently from Mysore University which lists *Dendropthoe falcata* var. *amplexifolius* with amplexicaul leaves as seen here. The pdf also provides diagrams and field photographs of all Loranthaceae members of Karnataka along with a list of host plants. A close up of the base of the flower would be nice to rule out the presence of bracteoles (thus eliminating *Macrosolen* sp.).
