Dear Ashwini

Thank you so much. It helps to eliminate the family Celastraceae. The bark of
Celastraceae are usually thick and vertically fissured. I am looking forward to
learn what it is.

With best wishes, Robert

I managed to visit the tree today and scratched the surface of the trunk. Below
a thin skin it was yellow-green. Does that lead us somewhere? Please advise.

Thanks.
Ashwini

Dear Everybody

I am very interested to see if there is a yellow pigment if the bark is
scratched with a knife.

With best wishes, Robert

This tree is flowering now but the tiny flowers are high up in the tree. I
tried my best to take a clear picture for a tight crop. The leaves are entire,
glossy and dark green. It seems to me that it could belong to the spike-thorn
family. Please advise.
