Congratulations to Mr Garg and all the members (especially the seniors) for keeping this group very lively and active. I am fortunate to be a part of this group and am looking forward to celebrate its silver jubilee in the coming years. Thank you. Ashwini On 20 Jun 2016, at 10:56, J.M. Garg <[email protected]> Date: 20 June 2016 at 10:56 Subject: Efloraofindia e-group completes 9 years To: efloraofindia <[email protected]> Dear members, Efloraofindia e-group completed nine years on 17.6.16 (it has become such a routine that we always forget this day). When we look back we are always surprised not only as to how long we have come but also by how long we still need to go. We always think at any point of time that now our pending works will be completed in a year or two. But we still always find ourselves at the same point. In a nutshell, it is a never ending journey, where we always make efforts to excel with our humble human resources. We have never followed a prescribed path. Rather we have created our own path, as per our own requirements & as per our own resources, which possibly no one has ever thought of. Thus we are on a unique journey, the value of which time will certainly assess. As you already know, we are in the initial phase of a very big exercise of inserting images. I think already more than 20,000 unique images has been inserted and each image is used at multiple places. Members have come up in a big way to contribute to this noble cause. Identification through genera & family pages with comparative images (where ever available) has become quite easy even for a layman. We thank all for joining us at different times in this never ending path-breaking journey. -- With regards, J.M.Garg 'Creating awareness of Indian Flora & Fauna' <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Jmgarg1> Winner of Wipro-NFS Sparrow Awards 2014 for efloraofindia <https://sites.google.com/site/efloraofindia/award-for-efloraofindia>.
