Dear members, After of lot of search on net, I could not find any site which gives differences between Podranea ricasoliana & Podranea brycei. There are confusing pictures all over including Dave's garden & Toptropicals.
On checking, GRIN (I find it better as far as naming of ornamental plants is concerned), *Podranea brycei* <https://npgsweb.ars-grin.gov/gringlobal/taxonomydetail.aspx?id=29142> (N. E. Br.) Sprague is listed as *Podranea ricasoliana* <https://npgsweb.ars-grin.gov/gringlobal/taxonomydetail.aspx?id=29143>*.* In WCSP <http://apps.kew.org/wcsp/namedetail.do?name_id=317844>, *Podranea** ricasoliana* (Tanfani) Sprague is stated to be widely cultivated as an ornamental, while no such mention has been made for *Podranea** brycei* (N.E.Br.) Sprague <http://apps.kew.org/wcsp/namedetail.do?name_id=317845>. PlantZAfrica <http://www.plantzafrica.com/plantnop/podranricasol.htm> states that as it is virtually impossible to tell them apart when seen growing together many botanists regard them as the same species. In view of all this I am taking all postings at efi as Podranea ricasoliana <https://sites.google.com/site/efloraofindia/species/a---l/b/bignoniaceae/podranea/podranea-ricasoliana> -- With regards, J.M.Garg 'Creating awareness of Indian Flora & Fauna' <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Jmgarg1> Winner of Wipro-NFS Sparrow Awards 2014 for efloraofindia <https://sites.google.com/site/efloraofindia/award-for-efloraofindia>.
