I think it is Ehretia laevis. Would expect to see more obvious pubescence
otherwise.
Talbot says that E laevis is found in the moister forests whereas E aspera
is invariably confined to desert and barren stony regions.
I have never come across E aspera in Thane area. Would be interested to
hear if anyone has.
