Dear members,
There was lot of discussions in the matter in a recent thread
<https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/indiantreepix/fpc1yVWpFts>.
After seeing & adding all images of all the members at efi pages at Rubus
indicus
<https://sites.google.com/site/efloraofindia/species/m---z/r/rosaceae/rubus/rubus-indicus>
& Rubus moluccanus
<https://sites.google.com/site/efloraofindia/species/m---z/r/rosaceae/rubus/rubus-moluccanus>
as well as after perusal of images at FOI links as below:
http://www.flowersofindia.net/catalog/slides/Indian%20Raspberry.html
<http://www.google.com/url?q=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.flowersofindia.net%2Fcatalog%2Fslides%2FIndian%2520Raspberry.html&sa=D&sntz=1&usg=AFQjCNEUQ3l-Ei14uI1EGkX_uhOPfpeWvQ>
http://www.flowersofindia.net/catalog/slides/Wild%20Raspberry.html
<http://www.google.com/url?q=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.flowersofindia.net%2Fcatalog%2Fslides%2FWild%2520Raspberry.html&sa=D&sntz=1&usg=AFQjCNGrxp8IKHFmDEk1UMdMoibBy7Wxww>
I feel that all these images are of the same plant.
I could not find any differences between the two species on net.

As per the following links, there is no distribution in India of Rubus
moluccanus
<https://sites.google.com/site/efloraofindia/species/m---z/r/rosaceae/rubus/rubus-moluccanus>
except in Andmans & Nicobar.

Wikipedia <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rubus_moluccanus>  HEAR
<http://www.hear.org/pier/species/rubus_moluccanus.htm>  GBIF
<http://www.gbif.org/species/2993394>
However, the following links give its distribution in Himalayas & India.
India Biodiversity Portal <http://indiabiodiversity.org/species/show/264834>
  PFAF <http://www.pfaf.org/user/Plant.aspx?LatinName=Rubus+moluccanus>  Plants
of Southeast Asia <http://www.asianplant.net/Rosaceae/Rubus_moluccanus.htm>
<http://www.hear.org/pier/species/rubus_moluccanus.htm>

However, very little details are available on net about Rubus indicus
<https://sites.google.com/site/efloraofindia/species/m---z/r/rosaceae/rubus/rubus-indicus>.
The
distribution of Rubus indicus
<https://sites.google.com/site/efloraofindia/species/m---z/r/rosaceae/rubus/rubus-indicus>
is
given in India, Sri Lanka & Thailand as per
Catalogue of Life
<http://www.catalogueoflife.org/col/details/species/id/cc0884702a02392513261849390730e9>
&
GBIF <http://www.gbif.org/occurrence/1056014515>. India Biodiversity Portal
<http://indiabiodiversity.org/species/show/263941> gives its distribution
in Indo-Malesia with Notes: Western Ghats, Evergreen Forests.

After doing all this research, I feel there is only one species & it should
be
Rubus moluccanus
<https://sites.google.com/site/efloraofindia/species/m---z/r/rosaceae/rubus/rubus-moluccanus>

Your feedback in the matter will make me take a suitable decision.
