*Solena heterophylla Lour. and Solena amplexicaulis (Lam.) Gandhi are 2 different species and are both accepted names in theplantlist (ver 1.1) database.I understand that you are referring to *an excellent paper* in Phytokeys (2013) by Renner and Pandey *(The Cucurbitaceae of India: Accepted names,synonyms, geographic distribution, and information on images and DNA sequences) in support of the name S heterophylla, which is fine. The paper states that S amplexicaulis does not occur in the geography from where this plant is reported.
