Dear friends, it must be *Memecylon umbellatum*, was under the impression
that this plant grows only at high altitude.
Another observation, the trunk / branches lacked the tell-tale longitudinal
striated texture.
The leaves are slightly over-sized, perhaps owing to the young age of this
small tree.
