Thanks Garg ji for resurfacing this query. This plant must be *Debregeasia
longifolia* (Burm.f.) Wedd. ... the only other distributed *Debregeasia* in
nearby Shimoga is *Debregeasia ceylanica* (Burm.f.) Wedd. ... with distinct
difference in leaves. The latter's status is shown critically endangered at
IUCN <http://www.iucnredlist.org/details/33545/0>.
