Dr. Goyal ji
Vernacular name Vishkhappar applies to Stephania glabra. It's tubers are
yellowish from inside.
Kindly post the photograph of tuber for confirmation.

Dear Anil ji

Namaskar

a few days back you had helped me identify the plant named Spondias
pinnata. there is another plant from the same area with the local name
as *vishkhappar.
*It is given to cattle for any throat infection. the sample the student
handed over to me is in the form of a tuber (aerial tuber) like we find in
the *Dioscorea *genus but the tuber is not showing any colour from inside.
it is poisonous.

do you have any idea about this plant?

Alok
