Dinesh ji, As per the current usage, the lianas (coupled with some other characters) previously under *Bauhinia *are now treated under the genus *Phanera. *Hence you have to call this now as *Phanera scandens *(L.) Raf. Reference: Badyopadhyay in P. Singh & Bandyop., Fasc. Fl. India 26: 64. 2014.
