Tanay and Kenneth and Prashant ji
This or similar plant has already been discussed on this group. This one is
F. religiosa, as explained earlier also. The easiest way to differentiate
the two species is that the acuminate leaf tip in F. arnottina is scarcely
longer than 2 cm and not very thin, whereas in case of f. RELIGIOSA IT IS
2.5-9 cm long and tail very slender. Secondaly the leaves of F. arnottiana
are very deeply lobed, not o deeply in R. religiosa, and again the figs in
F. arnottiana are stalked, sessile in F. religiosa.
And interestingly if you find a Ficus which looks like Thespesia, it may
be F. arnottiana.
