As per Flora of Pakistan <http://www.efloras.org/florataxon.aspx?flora_id=5&taxon_id=250064756>, this species is native to Lower Burma and Siam but it is cultivated in Burma, India and Pakistan. In Pakistan, it is grown in the gardens at Karachi and Lahore.
