I wish to differ from Pluchea lanceolata on account of following- 1. It is not an undershrub, instead it is 2.5 tall shrub 2. Leaves are not sessile and oblong, they are petiolate and elliptic The plant is recorded to the north of gangetic plains. I feel that the plant is Vernonia divergens Edgew. Regards, Shrikant
